Dear Reader,
This morning I tried to meditate… and got irritated.
Not exactly the spiritual breakthrough I was expecting. 😏
The meditation I chose was part of an eclipse portal group I joined for the season, and it was soft, airy and tried to be spiritual — but it was too vague for what I needed this morning.
I didn’t need to float above what I was feeling. I needed something that would help me come down into my body, get honest about what was actually happening, and notice what I might still be avoiding.
Because let's be real, the past couple of weeks have been full.
Lion’s Gate.
The solar eclipse.
Volleyball coaching.
School starting.
Winning our preseason tournament.
My regular work getting pushed aside.
New responsibilities arriving faster than I can neatly organize them.
I’ve actually been honoring most of the intensity pretty well.
Breathing.
Watching my body.
Noticing where stress lands.
Letting old patterns come forward without immediately making them wrong.
But there is almost always a little shadow lurking around the corner, isn’t there?
Something we haven’t quite looked at yet.
Something we’re avoiding.
Something that needs a little more honesty.
And this morning, I didn’t need more vague inspiration.
I needed to ground.
I needed to observe.
So I opened my own SOULutions App and listened to Eclipse Integration: Observe.
Five minutes.
That was it.
And it was exactly what I needed.
Specific enough to help me see what was actually happening.
Deep enough to help me notice what I had been avoiding.
Short enough that I could actually stay present with it.
And then Durga showed up in the meditation.
Of course she did. ❤️
She has been such a steady presence for me through this whole season.
Jai Ma Durga.
After the meditation, I began my work day.
And then life gave me another little opportunity to practice.
One volleyball volunteer stepped in.
Another stepped out.
One comes.
One goes.
And I noticed the wave rise.
So I did exactly what I’ve been practicing.
I literally opened my hands.
Softened my heart.
Took a deep breath.
Relaxed my shoulders.
And let myself feel what was there without gripping it.
That is the return.
Not pretending everything is easy.
Not pretending we never get overwhelmed.
Not turning every hard moment into a crisis either.
Just noticing.
Breathing.
Softening.
Returning.
If the last 10 days have felt intense for you too, I want to invite you into the same practice.
Inside the SOULutions App, the Eclipse Integration series includes:
Prepare
Observe
Release & Align
You do not need an hour.
You may just need five minutes to stop shaking the jar and let yourself see what is actually there.
And tomorrow night at 7:30 PM MT, we’ll gather inside Shakti Rising Circle as we move toward the lunar eclipse on August 27/28.
We’ll work with what has surfaced, what is ready to be released, and what wants to be carried forward with greater clarity.
If you’ve been craving a place to pause, be witnessed, and move through this season with intention, I’d love to have you there.
Here’s what I keep remembering:
Trust that the ups and downs of life
can become material for practice
instead of evidence that life is off track.
The intensity.
The change in rhythm.
The uncertainty.
The old patterns that resurface.
The breath that brings you back.
The truth that remains.
This is the return.
With love,
Mindy

P.S. I shared the Observe meditation with a friend this morning, and afterward she said, “I felt like glitter in a jar of water.”
Honestly… that says a lot. If that resonates, go listen. Five minutes may be just right.
