As a longtime yoga practitioner and teacher, I had heard the whisperings of Navratri for years.
Nine nights of the Goddess. A time devoted to Shakti. A practice of honoring the Divine Feminine.
I was curious, but for a long time it stayed somewhere at the edges of my awareness.
Then, about seven years ago, one of my favorite teachers shared a Navratri offering, and I decided to stop simply hearing about it and actually enter the practice for myself.
I didn’t know then how deeply those nine days would change my relationship with the Goddess — and with myself.
Over time, I’ve come to think of Navratri as a sacred pause for loving something into existence.
Not through wishful thinking.
Through seeing clearly what has kept us stuck.
Through finding the courage to clear what no longer belongs.
Through valuing ourselves enough to believe that we deserve what truly nourishes us.
And then through taking aligned, spirit-led action toward the life that is calling us.
That “life” doesn’t have to mean some giant reinvention.
Sometimes it’s the thing you’ve barely admitted you want.
More rest. More creative expression. More meaningful work. A healthier boundary. A deeper relationship with yourself. The courage to use your voice. The willingness to finally trust what you already know.
Navratri doesn’t magically remove struggle.
What it has done for me is restore faith in my ability to meet my life.
It gives me space to listen beneath the noise.
To honor the shadowy parts of myself I might otherwise avoid.
To remember what I value.
To reconnect with what I know.
And to leave those nine days feeling clearer, lighter, and more willing to live in alignment with what I’ve heard.
That’s why I keep returning.
And after seven years of practicing Navratri in my own way, it’s why I’m finally sharing the journey with you.
If you’d like to understand more about why I practice Navratri and what these nine nights mean to me, I wrote a fuller reflection here:
And if you already feel the pull to practice with me, Nine Nights of Shakti begins tomorrow inside the SOULutions App.
We’ll move through Durga, Lakshmi, and Saraswati with daily guided meditation, mantra, reflection, inquiry, and sankalpa practice — plus a companion guidebook, live opening and closing gatherings, and three original goddess songs I created for the journey.
Come as you are. Bring your intention. Let these nine nights become a sacred pause for what is ready to emerge.
With love, Mindy Practice here. Live differently out there.
P.S. When you join the journey you’ll have full access to the course on both your phone through the SOULutions App and on your computer, so you can practice wherever it’s easiest for you.
